TransPak South Korea: Three Locations, One Powerful Team

South Korea

Delivering Custom Packaging and Global Logistics Solutions to Power South Korea’s Semiconductor Industry

TransPak is home to three locations in South Korea, Pyeongtaek, Incheon, and Seoul, strategically built to meet the logistics and packaging needs of South Korea’s booming semiconductor industry.

The History of TransPak in South Korea

In 2008, at the request of a key customer, TransPak made a bold move. We opened our first facility in South Korea under the leadership of Tony Ku. That crucial decision, 17 years ago, laid the foundation for what is now TransPak’s tri-site operation in South Korea, an essential part of TransPak’s global network.

Now under the strong leadership of Harry Cho, TransPak is entering an exciting new chapter in South Korea, further strengthening our commitment to delivering world-class packaging solutions and seamless logistics services to support strategic growth in one of the world’s most vital semiconductor hubs.

Why is South Korea Important in the Semiconductor Industry?

Semiconductors are one of South Korea’s top export categories, making up 19% of the nation’s exports in 2022. South Korea consistently ranks as the world’s second-largest producer of semiconductors.

South Korea continues to invest in the growth of its semiconductor industry. By 2047, the country plans to build the world’s largest semiconductor cluster in the Gyeonggi Province, supported by over $470 billion in private investments.

With industry growth, there will always be a need for packaging that scales, as well as more innovative logistics solutions.

That’s where TransPak comes in. Our team has spent almost two decades navigating the landscape in South Korea. TransPak is ready to grow with the evolving industry and design custom solutions that ensure high-value, fragile equipment is protected every step of the way.

Three Sites Supporting the Semiconductor Supply Chain in South Korea

Pyeongtaek

In the more rural area of Pyeongtaek, TransPak operates a multi-building facility focused on crating, sustainable packaging, warehousing, and rigging. With over 106,000 sq. ft. of space and a committed team of 15 dedicated employees, this location plays a pivotal role in protecting sensitive, high-value semiconductor equipment.

Incheon

Located in close proximity to Seoul, TransPak’s Incheon site is home to a majority of the South Korea team, with over 80 dedicated employees, including a strong accounting team, and seven talented women in production roles. This site spans 52,000 square feet and offers a versatile range of services, including crating, packaging, warehousing, rigging, and some cleanroom capabilities.

As the first site opened in South Korea, Incheon continues evolving to meet the industry’s growing demand for packaging solutions.

Seoul: The Logistics Capital

In the heart of South Korea’s capital, the TransPak Seoul office is the central logistics hub for all our Korean operations. Our small but mighty team ensures that TransPak’s customers’ high-value and fragile equipment moves with precision, compliance, and speed. TransPak logistics team aligns customer objectives with real-time, proactive logistics solutions.

Conclusion: A Trusted Partner for Packaging and Logistics Excellence

Whether it’s designing custom-engineered packaging, coordinating complex international shipments, or ensuring the safe transport of high-value semiconductor equipment, TransPak Korea is ready to make it happen.

With three strategically located facilities, nearly two decades of on-the-ground experience, and a global logistics network, we deliver the expertise, scalability, and precision our customers need to succeed in a rapidly evolving market.
