San Jose, CA (June 8, 2017) TransPak, since 1952, a leading provider of packaging, crating, logistics and design, is excited to announce our acquisition of Milipitas, CA-based 2XLogistics, Inc. 2XL is a Bay Area neighbor and has services compatible with TransPak's offerings. In particular, the 2XL teams are "riggers" which means they have an expertise in moving, storing, and shipping heavy, valuable equipment.
Like TransPak, 2XL has worked extensively within the semiconductor industry, providing services in Transportation, Warehousing, Tradeshow Logistics, and Crating. The TransPak-2XL merger is a great fit with our shared business expertise and customer base. Additionally, TransPak's global systems and practices allow 2XL to grow and focus on their customers, with the back-office and operations set in place by TransPak.
Bert Inch, TransPak's CEO, says,
"2XL is a welcome addition to the TransPak family. As our business services speak the 'same language,' I envision a particularly seamless transition and an expansion of their client service."
Chico Brown, who founded 2XL 17 years ago, agrees:
"In joining TransPak, we will immediately benefit from their over 2 dozen global location footprint and by adopting their back-office operations. This enables us to focus on what we do best: serving our customers' needs."
2XL adds 180K square feet of warehouse space to TransPak's 1.5+ million global square feet. New infrastructure, skills, and machinery add to TransPak's ability to design, package, crate and ship high-value, heavy, and important products around the world.
Looking to expand internationally? Growing your datacenters? TransPak, along with our new acquisition team, 2XL, are here to help you.
