Rene Corona promoted to TransPak’s Chief Operating Officer

We are happy to announce the promotion of our long-time team member, Rene Corona, to serve as our new COO. Rene began his career in the packing and crating industry in 1982, by “performing almost every job in the business.”

Indeed, from truck driving, sawyer, box builder, packer, purchasing, sales, design, engineering and management, Rene has served in every role. He has set up and run packaging companies in five countries, to date. With multiple certificates in Packaging Engineering including a Certified Packaging Professional designation, Rene joined TransPak over 13 years ago as a Senior Sales Engineer in the San Jose operations. In 2008, Rene and his family moved to Taiwan in support of engineering projects for TransPak. From there, Rene opened TransPak Singapore in 2009, quickly expanded to Malaysia in 2011, and in 2017 Rene built our TransPak Specialized Packaging Division to serve internal and external clean room packaging customers.  With Rene’s trademark “sense of urgency and a maniacal attention to detail,” the Southeast Asia operations are among the top performing TransPak facilities in terms of volume, safety, and the number of team members (400)!

As TransPak continues its growth path, our leadership team is focused on operational excellence, safety first and continuously improving customer satisfaction. Rene’s deep industry experience and strong leadership talent will continue to contribute to TransPak’s long-term success.
